Objectives
- To establish a committee or a support group designed to support the youth of their community. - To establish relationships with the youth and to make the youth aware of their support services at the Friendship Centre.
Key Components
Workshops.
Use of traditions or ceremonies
They have a sweat lodge. They teach the language, traditions and cultural ways.
Role of Elders
The Elders are available to the community for support, guidance, counseling and direction.
Role of youth
The youth address their issues at the workshops. There is a youth drop-in center. The youth participate in indoor and outdoor recreational activities.
